The University's position on the conflict between Israel and Palestine

The University of Piemonte Orientale remains wholeheartedly against any form of violence and terrorism: from whatever side it is perpetrated. We hope for a rapid de-escalation of the conflict, the release of hostages and the reset of the principles of international humanitarian law.

Regarding the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel, the University of Piemonte Orientale remains wholeheartedly against any form of violence and terrorism: from whatever side it is perpetrated.

Our University shares, along with the President of Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, the deepest expression of solidarity to the innocent victims and the firmest and most convinced condemnation of any form of attack.

We also hope for a rapid de-escalation of the conflict, the release of hostages and the reset of the principles of international humanitarian law.

With Pope Francis, we believe that every war and extremism is a defeat and we are convinced that only dialogue can build bridges of peace.
